Losing weight for my wedding
Date: 01/18/2005 at 4:40 PM
Does anyone know of a good diet that still includes carbs that will help me lose a little bit of weight before my wedding?
REPLIES:
A lot of diets now are saying that you should eat 5 smaller meals a day rather than 3 main meals. This allows you to practice portion control, but not limit you from the things you really enjoy. This paired with moderate exercise should produce results.
I've done Weight Watchers before and it really works. You still get to eat whatever you want, but what they teach is mainly portion control. It's very easy to follow. I lost about 25 pounds in less than a year. I don't know how much you want to lose, but that is an idea. As far as the excercise, I would walk 2 miles or 30 minutes 5 days a week. Be sure to take at least 2 days off from excercise to let your body rejuvenate. If you don't have the funds to do weight watchers, what I learned to eat was more fruits and veggies everyday. That is important.
I think the best way by far is three square a day with fruits or vegetables or anything light in between as a snack. Dont eat after 7 and get plenty of sleep. And of course a little exercise never hurt.
Just don't eat. Thats what I did, I know its not the best but its tried and true.
Honestly, dieting is VERY hard to do ;) I highly recommend joining your local Curves facility. Its all women, all shapes, and you get a full body workout in less than 1 hour. You feel great when you leave there and your appetite seems to be very low afterwards. You'll start to see a change in your body and not only will you look better you feel very confident in yourself! Give it a try.
what ever you do dont just not eat. fo you want to pass out at the wedding that sounds fun!
Just eat low calorie foods and workout. You don't have to follow any one strict diet, if you just watch what you eat. And workouts should consist of weights AND cardio. I just started about two months ago doing both weights, and cardio, and found that the difference in my body when I incorporated weights into my workout versus when I just ran on the treadmill, is crazy. I didn't have a lot of weight to lose, mostly just needed to tone, but surprising to me, I'm losing it faster than I ever have just eating low calorie foods and doing this workout. Its called The FIRM and its really hard when you first get into it, but its sooooo effective. I was so sore the first time I did the dvd that I couldn't sit down without bracing myself first. It was horrible, but I stuck with it and I'm sooooo excited about my honeymoon cause for the first time I'm going to feel confident in my bikini on the beach!
