Choosing your Wedding Colors

I have many ideas of different wedding colors to use in my wedding, but I can't figure out what goes good together..I am getting married in Fall2006 and everyone thinks I should have a theme around fall colors, but I don't like fall colors like yellow & orange. I was thinking either light blue & light purple or Red & Pink, but I have no idea.. Anyone have any suggestions on 2 colors that go good together??

Hi Rose725,

I am also getting married Fall 2006. I have some ideas as to colors but are not definite. I did got to Loews a week or so ago and look through the paint section where they offer color selections that may help. Of course the fabric may not look the same but this may help with ideas. Also try Home Depot.

i am getting married in september, sort fo the end of summer/beginning of fall and my colors are white and navy blue. i think the darker color will go really well with the atmosphere of Fall. good luck to you!

Many people think of fall colors as yellow and orange. Fall colors are actually quite beautiful when they are put together correctly. You can use hot pinks, purples, rusts, and red along with orange and yellow. It is absolutely beautiful.

I think royal purple (Think of the color of a purple iris flower) is a wonderful color for a fall wedding. You could use it as an accent color with perhaps a mauve, coral, pink or red primary color, or perhaps even green, gold, or copper. Even if you don't like orange and yellow, these colors make good accent colors with royal purple, perhaps incorporated with the flower arrangements and bouquets, or ribbons.

Look at the colorful bouquets on the flower delivery web sites for inspiration.

I finally chose my colors and they are Red, White, & silver. Red is the most used color and silver will be used in decorations and little in the ceremony and of course i'll be white. I thought of what color I really love and what will look good on my bridesmaids. I love red and it is very sharp and everyone looks outstanding in red!!

You should look in your closet and see what color you like to wear the most. That should be the primary color for your wedding. Then pick, complementary colors for a soft pallet or opposite colors for a more exciting color scheme. Look at a color wheel to figure this out. You can find a color wheel on line, just search for it.
