Said they'll Pay, but nope..

My fiance's mother said she would pay for anything we need her to. Then she said she has no money to pay for anything. But yet she's going on a trip to Las Vegas for 2 weeks. I am very mad about this. My Parents don't really have alot of money either, but they are doing everything they can. As well as my fiance and I, why can't she just stick to what she says?!?!?!?!?!!!!! I want to confront her, but I don't want to be rude about it..
What I would do in this case is give her something specific that you would need her to pay for. If she says she can't do it, I would leave it up to your fiancee to talk to her. Remember, you don't want to start on the wrong foot with her. She will always be your mother-in-law, you don't have to love her, but you don't want to put your fiancee against the wall either. If she refuses to pay for anything, when the guest list comes by, tell her you could only accomodate so many from her list with the help you got. Good luck to you.
