In my spare time I enjoy shopping, sleeping, and spending time with friends, family, and Jarrod. About Jarrod: Born on January 25, 1984 to Johnny and Maxine Farrell, Jarrod is an only child. He was born and raised in Des Allemands, Louisiana. He graduated from high school in 2002 and was drafted by the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. He is away playing baseball six months out of the year and loves what he does. Jarrod recently got traded by the Florida Marlins. He is very excited and eager to start the new season. He is currently working in New Orleans doing valet and is a manager of several different hotels. In his spare time, he enjoys playing golf, playing playstation, working on his car, and spending time with friends, family, and me.

~ How We Met ~
My brother and Jarrod were friends and played baseball for Hahnville High School together. Ryan is actually the one who introduced us. He knew that Jarrod didn't have a date to his Junior prom and told Jarrod that he should ask me to go with him. When I came home one day from softball practice Jarrod was in my house with my brother. I don't think we talked that day, maybe just a hi or something. That night, he called me and simply asked me to go to the prom with him. I said yes and we started dating about three weeks later. We've been dating since April 2001 and couldn't be happier.

~ The Proposal ~
WHEN WE GOT ENGAGED December 31, 2003 HOW IT HAPPENED It was New Year's Eve, and we were at his cousin's house for a family party. We were outside watching the fireworks and took a walk down the street to get a closer look. We were walking and all of a sudden Jarrod stopped. He was down on one knee tying his shoe, or at least that's what I thought. He didn't even have shoelaces! He had actually had the ring in his sock so that I wouldn't be able to feel it. I told him to get up and look at the fireworks because they were so pretty. Jarrod's response to that was, "Not as pretty as this." And I looked down at him and he was holding up my ring. He asked me to marry him, but I thought that he was joking. He jokes about everything, but he wasn't about this. I, of course, said yes and cried. It was a great night that we will remember forever.
