Bill Nyhanna and Nikki Hesselink

Bill and Nikki met at a party at a friend's house. Naturally, they fell for each other right away. After a long night of talking and drinking, they said goodbye, not knowing when they would meet again. A few days later, Bill called Nikki and asked her to go with him to a work party, which she happily agreed to do. They went out a couple more times, until Bill finally made it official on his birthday, the 4th of July, 2002.

On a vacation in Barnes, Wisconsin, Bill and Nikki were celebrating the 4th of July and Bill's birthday with Nikki's family. After singing "Happy Birthday" and blowing out birthday candles, Nikki's mom brought another cake over to where Bill and Nikki were sitting with another cake. As she set it down next to Nikki, Bill got down on one knee, in front of Nikki's whole family, and she read the cake, which said "NIKKI WILL YOU MARRY ME". Obviously, the answer was yes.
