We were standing very close together and talking. I pulled the ring out of my pocket while she was saying something and held it between us, waiting for her to finish what she was saying, and she looked down and saw it and went silent in midsentence, throwing her arms around my neck and crying before I could even say anything. When she finally pulled back, I said, "So is that a yes?."
